The Roman Amphitheatre Jordan
The Roman Amphitheater in Jordan is a great architectural work. During my school years we used to go on field trips to visit this place and to see how incredible it is. It is extremely old and it was something i always looked forward to see. A lot of plays took place here, actors would dress up and perform short plays for the people sitting, it was always entertaining and funny. I feel blessed that we have this Amphitheatre in Jordan because it shows how even many many years ago, people were able to build something this great and outstanding

Team Museum project
In my opinion our team museum project, which was to visit a museum in Chicago was great. It was a quite small museum with 2 exhibits and not many art pieces. I think we presented ourselves to the class and to the employee of the museum very well. We were able to express ourselves easily and had no problem at all getting information and presenting it.

Cultural center field trip.
Our field trip to the cultural center was very short, we spent around 20 minutes at max in the cultural center. We looked at Archibald Motley's work in the exhibit. Wrote a couple of notes and that was it.
The exhibit was nice and spacious, there was distance between each painting which made it easier to look freely. My first impression of Archibald Motley was that he had a lot of nude paintings. He had many nude portraits of a lot of different women.

Modigliani
Modigliani was an artist in the times of many famous artists, such as Pablo Picasso and Diego Rivera. Modigliani was known for his drinking problem, he drank a lot of alcohol during his lifetime. Modigliani and Pablo Picasso were great rivals, they we constantly competing on who was the better artist,Modigliani style of art was painting nude women. The movie showed his life with his loved one Jeanne, the movie showed all the struggle that he lived in, he had no money, he had to steal food and drinks from restaurants to live each day. Modigliani mocked Picasso for his cubism style of painting, at the end of the movie the artists entered a competition, to see who was the best. Modigliani drew his wife Jeanne in her blue dress while she was pregnant and submitted it to the gallery where the art will be shown. Modigliani did not make it, he was in a bar drinking and smoking, for he was poor and did not pay for his drinks the bartender had him followed and beat up severely, his painting won and Picasso was stunned by Modigliani's work, he started clapping as soon as he saw Modigliani's work. Modigliani then died because he had lung issues and he was severely hurt.
I LOVE THIS MOVIE! IT IS DEFINITELY GOING TO BE IN MY TOP 10 MOVIE LIST.
i cannot explain how amazing this movie was, at first i thought i just have to put up with 2 hours of this movie to do my art homework, i then realized that it was an amazing movie! his life was full of ups and downs.
Recommended to watch.

AIC trip.
Our visit to the AIC was very pleasant, I learned many things that i never imagined my self learning, like for example really looking into the art work and extracting my own thoughts just by looking at it. There were many art works and sculptured that interested me, sadly i cannot remember the names or those pieces. The new building compared to the old one was amazing. it was spacious, clear and bright. The galleries were extremely big with countless art works from many different artists. On the other hand, the older building was not so amusing as the new one. it wasn't very bright, it was actually quite dull, there wasn't a lot of room to walk around and gaze at art pieces.
I learned that it is something completely different to look at art in a magazine or on the internet than to look at the real painting. I saw materials and different textures and bulges that appeared on the painting that i could not see online. I also learned that George Seurat, in his painting A Sunday afternoon on the La Grande Jatte, uses very simple colors. he mostly used the color green in most of his painting, he just had different shades of green to show where the light hits the grass and where it didn't, it was truly amazing to see such a great painting with very simple colors.

Working with my partner to present about our chosen art piece Woman before an Aquarium by Henry Matisse was interesting. We both learned that this painting shows a woman staring into an aquarium thinking, we learned that people might stare into random objects when they think, they might not notice themselves until they have already finished thinking. It is not something we do on purpose, but we are too busy working our brain to focus on where our eyes are. Lastly we both agreed that it was a representational art because it represents something, a woman before the aquarium.

Our group activity was great, we laughed and made jokes, it was far from boring which i expected it to be, no offense. We had time to be both serious and loosen up a bit, making funny comments on some paintings, and having deep explanations on others. The poem activity was something that none of us expected. At first it was frustrating to write a poem about the painting, but we pulled through and it was fun. To end, our group was great, we all showed respect when someone else was presenting their work or mini-presentation, some were shy so i could not hear what they were saying. All in all it was a great trip and i will surly visit the AIC again.
Thanks to our teacher Gitta for taking us.
